THERE IS FOREVER IN A FOREST

0A0E157E-1FAB-4D1C-8768-A5436B7F0552.jpegThere is Forever in a forest,
In stand of maple, oak and pine,
When eagle soars, then turns toward us,
When woodpecker keeps march of time,
To help twin souls as ours align.

There is Forever in a forest,
Peace present in the sun’s sharp beam,
In comfort of the songbirds’ chorus,
In the wren that darts, swift and keen,
With passion much more lived than seen.

There is Forever in a forest,
Like Man’s lost yearnings for Eve’s love,
In birch that’s bent like priest, all is blessed
In quiet prayer to skies above,
Encompassed in soft coo of dove.
