Few reach to seize the farthest prize,
to build their dreams high in the skies,
haven of hearts and all that lies
inside the listless lean of man.
Explorers, dreamers, all in kind,
the poet with his ringing rhyme,
the prophet with his sacred sign,
the lover, one with mate entwined,
are faithful in belief they can
fly further than their distant dream,
retreat beyond the sunset’s beam,
discover wonders yet unseen,
sharpen their vision, truth more keen
and, till earnest end, these command.
