I Have Been Nominated for the Liebster Award

one-lovely-blog-award12

Thank you, Maryam, for nominating me for this award.

http://desi99ner.wordpress.com/

Please check out her blog! Maryam is a master artist. But call her a Designer. She has an eye for beauty… Her blog’s photography is magnificent! And, just for the record, I was going to nominate her for this award…until I remembered she nominated me for the award! Lolololol!

Questions for the nomination:

What are you good at?

I am a very organized fellow. I am trying to kick the habit, though…
What changes did you get through this year ?

Finding myself after 51 years of hide and seek.

If you have traveled to the place you love , what one person would you take with?

Katie Couric. Aim high.

Your aim in life?

To hit the target, whether it be with a poem, a passion or a pistol. Or even Katie Couric.

What kind of people do you prefer?

Dreamers. One who has no imagination cannot pretend to know life. Be one of the great pretenders!

Are you scared of something and yet have more courage by doing it?

I am scared of driving with a woman because I have a haunted Garmin. I always hear it even when I turn it off (“Slow down! Turn here! Have my baby!”). No, it doesn’t get any better when I keep doing it. But I am a stubborn guy and I will drive on nonetheless, no matter what the hazards, inside or outside…

Your favorite food ?

Moo Shu Pork. Hands down.

Your favorite animal ?

Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I have two (Jack and Sissy) and I don’t know what life would be like without them…

Book you like?

War and Peace by Count Leo Tolstoy. Any man who can come up with so many characters and still keep the plot interesting is worth a read. They should make it required reading for all psychiatrists, psychologists and sociologists because it is a comprehensive textbook of the human soul.

What do you think about negative people ?

I am very negative about negative people. And that’s the only good thing I can say about them.

Quote you believe in?

“The poet’s job is to put into words those feelings we all have that are so deep, so important, and yet so difficult to name, to tell the truth in such a beautiful way, that people cannot live without it.”
― Jane Kenyon
My nominations are:

O, fair Lady, so much heart, so much depth, so much poetic talent… A must-read.
Alice takes us to another world behind the looking glass, her personal adventure in the long lost kingdom of Brooklyn…
An Aussie extraordinaire, she is an adventurer and a conqueror on equal par with Joan of Arc, Emilia Earheart and Sacajawea…
If a man could be the soulmate of the most tender woman on the planet, he would carry away Caroline’s poetry, a real Lady…
Marian is a bold, new girl with an insight that must be seen to be appreciated. Go to her blog. You will not be disappointed.
She is the underground poet, she is the lone wolf, she is the new morning star in a dark hole sort of way. A true explorer of new worlds.
Anne Marie, Amma, a lover, a goddess, a poetess. She is a light to this bedarkened world.
Ok, Leanne, I admit it: I want you. For your art. Your photography. Your insight. You can have her too! Just click on her link.
A lovely Lebanese woman, she brings us to the far corners of the earth and she brings us back home again through her photography, which catches the human spirit in all mankind, regardless of nationality or ethnic heritage…
She is a lovely poet, and I suspect, a lovely lady, too.
Betty, Betty, Betty… She loves nature as much as I do! Come check out her depth in poetry!
She is the type of wild spirit that I would love to run into in the middle of the night. Read her poetry. You will agree!
I will tell you what I told Michele: she is one of the loveliest poets I have ever read. :)
Crimson… I love her. Nuff said. Click on her. :)

  4. My Dearest Eric, I don’t know how you do it. One minute I’m laughing — and in the next tears are prickling…I’m not certain whether I’m more honored by your nomination or the incredibly kind words you chose to summarize my blog — and everyone’s. What a beautiful and generous heart you possess! Thank YOU!!

    • You are welcome, but you deserve it, Marian. With the best writers, there is a depth to their work that involves more than a cursory reading. You have such depth. :)
